TCBY video survey for MEINN’ers…STORE GIVEAWAY

Published by cfrances under agencies, deals Edit This

Meinn’s TCBY application

My video camera wont allow traveling around but I think possibly a script as follows, and my little portable IBM may allow for “promises” from MEINN residents, possibly going so far as to submit to TCBY for a “Yogurt Store” giveaway, followed by FURTHER MEINN  promotional options (at the aforesaid permission granting of TCBY of course); and legal eeee’ing the chance for an adjunct “TCBY_MEINN” to keep this place going - of course, check out both websites as follows — and my video ideas — for the 2 minute contest (rules apply) for thousands of dollars worth of TCBY giveaway STORES!!!

Where does my impetus originate–

Options to read aloud, find MEINN women who can, want to briefly take the survey…

1. 4 visible empty Ben & Jerry Cartons of Frozen Yogurt - (mine was Light Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough $5.25 for 473 ml - 4 servings , 180 calories and 24 g. sugar at the local store about 5 blocks away)….  other wrapper remnants of cones  and similar double-thick cartons were peaking out of the trashcan located next to the MEINN water fountain -

For our TCBY store, clean water of course would be dispensed in a filtered water container at the TCBY store located within 4 “yelping” blocks of the MEINN location (currently at 1040 Bush Street, Room 101, San Francisco, CA) - http://www.meinn.org  — a place/INN for women - low-income, in need and self-supporting.

2.  Women here often work but only part-time and many volunteer.  Food is superbly prepared but not often vegetariann - and comes from donated ingredients (tonight’s entre by Lilly was roasted peppers, and fried pork - original, superb looking and there’s always a salad and bread type item available, as well as 50 calorie vitamin water)…  BUT NO TCBY - though it’s a full kitchen and there are large restaurant style refrigerators, it’s a 90 women housing facility, redecorated and originated in 1914 - built –C could stand for Charlotte, who used to live here.

3. The TCBY needs to hire these women to keep frozen yogurt prices low, add interesting names to turnaround flavor options, and make the calories stay within a reasonable nutrition conscious level for the women (there was yoga offered but budget cuts ended this.  Meinn could bring back these classes - women could buy new clothes with funds, etc…and dessert would be only blocks way from dinner - or optionally offered as a protein alternative for lactose intolerant women, for instance (which myself as a poor vegetarian fall into a similar type category).  Milk has a whole new meaning for the lunch tickets available at MEINN (Mary Elizabeth Inn’s acronym).

4. Women could also work at TCBY as “Meinn Deliverer’s” walking 4 -5 block radius of the San Francisco Streets to deliver Yogurt (or biking, since there are bike racks here - and these could be donated between MEINN and TCBY - TCBY BIKES!)

5. There are about 400  different locations advertised as “yogurt friendly” when you search stores on Yelp! for Yogurt - BUT my walk and search led me NOWHERE! Thus, Ben & Jerry’s or other store shelf yogurt was located only, like ummmm…that other brand, selling lite that’s 22 g. of sugar.  Most other stores are iether not advertised or for instance 2 locations i called dont either offer frozen yogurt any longer or referenced “Gelato”.  Mission District in san francisco offers severaal yogurt serve-self locations which are great ! priced by weight of purchase which is also nice, but calories are not listed, and the option for container sizes is also limited. TCBY is better ! and MEINN’s wholly-owned subsidiary store (TCBY original - with me Claire Frances as main owner- somehow incorporating a non-profit giveaway 2nd hand status - details would require legal help).

Anyway, store could offer sizes with “refill” containers that can be purchased separately, for people wanting “take-out” option for recycle purposes, rather than constantly throwing away TCBY containers which are not economical to trash and recycle — this is a yogurt issue similarly solved like the 1930’s San francsico milk pick-ups of glass bottles.  Really no one has done it better since.

5. Finally, MEINN women want to look GOOD! and vegetarian meals though sometimes exceptionally put together by Lilly “the meinn rift”,  aren’t the daily fare here.  I have uploaded my FAcebook rendition of what MEINN could be headed for if all the women were hired to work at my store TCBY!

See below for the hope of the new MEINN (PS: THis foto was a spam sent invite to my email, request author credits from me via this post if interested or view it online to download from Claire Frances at Facebook.

free mp3’s ongoing

Published by cfrances under deals, free Edit This

It’s not a poorly kept secret but it often is bypassed for the alternative download sites offering 2 - week free trials. However, Amazon.com keeps advertising their “free MP3 dowloads” and I must say my Iriver music player if full of their suggestions. Visit them online….Here’s a recent peak from http://www.dealslist.com…

Free MP3 Songs from Amazon.com

The Amazon MP3 Store offers several free MP3 song downloads. Amazon MP3 Downloader is required. The tracks:

Last month was a shocker to the sticker for retail online services which have filed bankruptcy. Some of these retailers I have used quite often since they advertise with free shipping and discount coupons quite often. It is not a terribly sad day to see them go. These now defunct online stores

If you are innovative, resourceful, and overall, broke you can find several deals to deal with the monthly bills accumulated by phone calls. Having a landline phone, cell phone and DSL (Internet access) which may or may not cover the aforementioned calling methods is increasingly cumbersome to the pocketbook.

There have been several companies whose interest is honest in attempting to save the consumer the time and consumption of funds for calling over the wires.

VOIP - Voice Over Internet Protocol is the new way of calling. Some persons consider it non-cost effective due to the accessory recommendations for a VOIP compatible phone and/or headset. It’s basic function is for the following:

1. For PC to phone or PC to PC operation - requirring-VOIP dialer plus headset).
2. For phone to phone operation requires SIP device - phone/adaptor - which connects to your router/modem.
3. Broadband or any high speed Internet
4. A just-VOIP Account or PIN

The alternative SIP account is usable with several phone cost saving features, like Gizmo calling. You can find out more at http://www.gizmocall.com  offering free call with a simple/small plug-in downloadable anywhere on your computer (possibly USB drive if you work on a public computer).

Gizmocall is now Gizmo5.

You can easily make a free 5 minute phone call online without having to do anything but install an activeX file (easily done, most likely acceptable at public computers also)

SKYPE: Your first call is free. Skype briefly offered a portable version of their software, since discontinued but their download is easily manageable on computers, they offer a website widget (simple html coded addons that allow for single button activation from the skype dashboard on your desktop or blog)…for easy accessibility. Be sure to check out their free plugins that offer conference calling and much more online.  http://www.skype.com/allfeatures/callphones/

Finally, if you are looking for free calls and know of someone who is willing to use the same website and conferencing online free software, there are the burgeoning new sites geared towards web conferencing that offer free inbound and outbound calling when you hook up with another participant account (these accounts are free and offer other features such as whiteboards, chat, uploading/sharing of documents and phone calls for conference calling).

Here are two reputable webconferencing sites:
Dimdim located at http://www.dimdim.com and
Vyew located at http://www.vyew.com

Gizmo, which also offers a download program (and mobile phone

accessibility for reputed cheap long distance international calling), is similarly geared to offer multi-user free calling, if your caller has a Gizmo account as well - it is free. Their system works using a SIP calling number or your account login for online use of gizmocall.com. Gizmo is not VOIP but their calling system requires purchase of money for time  just like Skype - however, Skype now has many plugin-ins called “tools” and located under the “tools” menu where you can install conferencing software to save your callers money in contacting you.

The variations on this same shared calling theme are becoming limitless. The trouble is with sorting out the options, and sticking with one provider so as not to waste your monthly calling features using multiple systems for a crosswired result. But it may be worth the time and $3.00/month (that’s the Skype charge for limitless local landlines monthly call rates), if you have a 2-5 pound computer you are lugging around and a monthly charge on a cell phone.
